ICT
 

ICT is an integral part of the curriculum at Thornhill College and involves all pupils and teachers. The school has developed and is continuing to develop whole-school policies and approaches designed to maximise the effective use of ICT across the curriculum.

These include:

  • provision of a school-wide network of computers linked to the C2K wide area network,

  • access to a wide range of hardware and software resources,

  • continuous development of staff ICT skills,

  • ICT skills training for all KS3 pupils, including assessment in Year 10 via the CEA assessment scheme,

  • opportunities to study ICT at GCSE level

  • opportunities to study ICT at AS/A2 level

  • provision of vocational ICT courses at A-level
