The Homework Club


The Homework Club operates on three afternoons each week from 3.45pm until 5.00pm and offers a diverse and comprehensive range of pastimes and pursuits. At present, the School Library is the vibrant focus of activities where students are able to access resource material and receive guidance, help and encouragement from members of staff.

Pupils also have access to the school's ICT facilities where they are fully supervised at all times. Peer mentoring by Year 13 students offering academic support to younger pupils is also available.

A range of other activities is also offered including:

  • Art work
  • Calligraphy
  • Dance
  • Science and Technology Clubs
  • A variety of sporting activities
  • Debating
  • Creative Writing

Students who use the Homework Club are provided with a snack in the school canteen at the end of the school day for which they pay a token sum. Transport is provided at 4.45pm to take students to the Ulsterbus Depot to meet connecting transport whilst other buses leave the school at 5.00pm to travel to other destinations in Derry
