Thornhill Parents' Association consists of a diverse bunch of talented people all bound together by the common thread of having a child in this progressive educational establishment!

We exist in order to provide a link between the parents and the school and to raise funds in order to offset the costs of going that extra  mile to provide the complete educational experience.

We have funded the hockey team, some talented young swimmers, the School Orchestra and an innovative summer scheme for the incoming year 8's that gives senior girls supervisory experience & allows the newbies a chance to orient themselves within the vast new experience that is Thornhill!

We also raise funds for nominated charities such as giving a helping hand to the redoubtable Sister Deirdre who has already built a school  in Cambodia but now needs some funds to provide books for her pupils.

Thornhill College is not a stand still sort of place. As part of the Extended School Provision, there are a number of events tom which the wider community is invited. Healthy Living Awareness Night, which was a great success, being a case in point!

Muire Coyle, our new chairperson, would urge parents to take a role in our work and has this to say of being part of the association.

"Being a member of the parents association has been a very enjoyable & informative experience for me as a parent. You not only feel involved, you can make a difference in your child's school life"

Sarah Kelly, our principal, has this to say of the association:

"The Parents' Association acts as a sounding board for me, that helps us create a vital & dynamic school culture that unites parents and staff in the task of ensuring that all our children reach their full potential"

Lots of fun events are planned each year to make parting with your hard earned cash a pleasure!:
