A group of Year 11 Thornhill students took part in the “Creative Bridges” workshop run by the Civil Engineering department at Queen’s University.
The girls gained a valuable insight into how Civil Engineers make design decisions and the personal attributes that make for a good engineer. There is currently a shortage of civil engineering graduates in the profession and there are jobs that must be filled.
The students involved were: Ashley Sojan, Hannah McSorley, Kerri McKeever, Mekha Saji, Hannah Lappin, Eva Doherty, Niamh Doherty, Rachael Cooke, and Roisin Logue.
